Gemini Full Moon

Note from Aubrey:

Gemini full moon is calling on us to be generous with our spirit.

Open hands. Open heart.

Showing up in a world of vulnerability and honesty.

Take some moments before the full moon clicks in to sit in meditation. Palms open on your knees. Ready to receive yourself. Fully.

This is a time to bless the endings and hold the space for the beginnings.

During this full moon try to incorporate some of these foods: Grapefruit, oranges, plums, apricots, apples, lavender, marjoram, anise seed. If you don’t consume them. Place them on your altar or use their essential oils. All work to cleanse the body and open up the space for receiving.

Clearing Away

Note from Aubrey:

As the Sun moves towards Sagittarius we are sitting with some serious feelings, emotions and sensitivities. We are being asked to gain a new perspective which means we need to clear away the old one.

1) Grab a new bar of soap. Unopened. White would be preferable but not necessary.

2) Draw yourself a bath or a shower and speak aloud all of the should’s, grievances, regrets, disappointments, and angers that come forward ready to be healed.

3) Once the ready to be released have been spoken out into the world. Release them, allow them to go down the drain. (If in the bath; allow the water to begin to drain). Clear them away with the new soap (start the shower if in the bath). Envisioning the soap filling in the places where they once held onto.

The white brings the light to where we once allowed shadow to infiltrate us. We are liberating which means we are clearing the space for the liberation to occur.

If you have frankincense near by; now is the time to anoint yourself after clearing away.

Leaning In

It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.

It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain!I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fade it, or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own, if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, to be realistic, to remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself; if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul; if you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see beauty even when it's not pretty, every day, and if you can source your own life from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand on the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, “Yes!”

It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up, after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done to feed the children.

It doesn't interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.

It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you, from the inside, when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.

Sea Support

Note from Aubrey:

The energies are heavy today and throughout the month of November. Lets work on the cellular level to clear out the old, the stagnant, the heavy and shadow based. If you are able to look for chlorella or spirulina. Both are sea algae and are packed with all the nutrients we need in a day. They are major detoxifiers and recalibrators.

Add a pinch to your water, lemonade, smoothie or applesauce. They can also be added to your bath (soak for 20-30 minutes).

Both or either are extremely important to help clear space of all that the Scorpio energy is unveiling. They also will make recalibration happen easier and at a cellular level to raise our vibrations.

Breathing In I am aware + Breathing out I smile

Thich Nhat Hahn is one of the greatest teachers to walk the earth in our lives. He taught us about the practice of mindfulness. Calling back into each moment our ability to be aware, connected to possibility and free of our perceived reactions.

Here is an excerpt of his teachings for us to meditate upon. How can we deepen our practice to mindfulness in the comfortable as well as in the discomfort?

“The best way to touch is with mindfulness. You know, it is possible to touch without mindfulness. When you wash your face in the morning, you might touch your eyes without being aware that you are touching them. You might be thinking about other things. But if you wash your face in mindfulness, aware that you have eyes that can see, that the water comes from distant sources to make washing your face possible, your washing will be much deeper. As you touch your eyes, you can say, "Breathing in, I am aware of my eyes. Breathing out, I smile to my eyes."

We can do the same with our heart. "Breathing in, I am aware of my heart. Breathing out, I smile to my heart." If we practice this a few times, we will realize that our heart has been working hard, day and night, for many years to keep us alive. Our heart pumps thousands of gallons of blood every day, without stopping. Even while we sleep, our heart continues its work to bring us peace and well-being. Our heart is an element of peace and joy, but we don't touch or appreciate it. We only touch the things that make us suffer, and because of that, we give our heart a hard time by our worries and strong emotions, and by what we eat and drink. Doing so, we undermine our own peace and joy. When we practice breathing in and becoming aware of our heart, breathing out and smiling to our heart, we become enlightened. We see our heart so clearly. When we smile to our heart, we are massaging it with our compassion. When we know what to eat and what not to eat, what to drink and what not to drink, what worries and despair we should avoid, we will keep our heart safe.

When we have a toothache, we know that not having a toothache is a wonderful thing. "Breathing in, I am aware of my non-toothache. Breathing out, I smile at my non-toothache." We can touch our non-toothache with our mindfulness, and even with our hands. When we have asthma and can hardly breathe, we realize that breathing freely is a wonderful thing. Even when we have just a stuffed nose, we know that breathing freely is a wonderful thing.

Every day we touch what is wrong, and, as a result, we are becoming less and less healthy. That is why we have to learn to practice touching what is not wrong—inside us and around us. When we get in touch with our eyes, our heart, our liver, our breathing, and our non-toothache and really enjoy them, we see that the conditions for peace and happiness are already present. When we walk mindfully and touch the Earth with our feet, when we drink tea with friends and touch the tea and our friendship, we get healed, and we can bring this healing to society. The more we have suffered in the past, the stronger a healer we can become. We can learn to transform our suffering into the kind of insight that will help our friends and society.”

Detox Practices

Note from Aubrey:

We are constantly bombarded by toxins; in the air we breathe, the carpet we walk across, the clothes we put on, the water we drink, the food we eat, the dark thoughts we think and even the company we keep.

They all expose our cells to toxins. When we get bombarded with toxins, our bodies become inflamed and we bear the weight of the toxicity. It can be lacking energy, not feeling well in our bodies, repeating what we know to be bad patterns and thoughts. Our bodies, brains, and spirits can scream for an alternative.

Below are suggestions to help detoxify the body from the build up toxins.

  • activated charcoal (binds to toxins) can be taken as a capsule or blended into yogurt

  • spirulina or chlorella (removes toxins by flushing them with nutrients) sea algae has its on flavor to hide it within a smoothie for best taste

  • epsom salt bath at least a cup (replenishes magnesium stores and pulls out toxins)

  • bentonite clay (taken internally or in the bath) removes toxins by attracting to them

  • lemons in your water

  • selenite crystal will help to purify the space and your energy field (hold it or run across your body’s meridians)

  • visualize all the toxins as having strings attached to them (especially the ones in our mental and energetic fields) pull the strings out and place them in a virtual fire

Detox Bath

Note from Aubrey:

I have been thinking about how important it is to not only rid our bodies of toxins but we also the need to rid our emotional, spiritual, and mental bodies of toxic build up. This bath can be a gentle way to honor all aspects of yourself while also helping to detoxify.

1/2 to 1 cup of epsom salt ( if you dont have any you can use table salt also; any amount will help)

1 tablespoon of baking soda

2 tablespoons bentonite clay

Lavendar and Frankincencse essential OiI (2-5 drops of each)

Soak for 20 minutes. When getting ready to leave the bath take a second and envision all of the toxins, heavy metals, negative thoughts, and shadows being pulled from your cells. As the water drains so do the toxins. Once out; make sure to set your intention of filling those cells with grace, love, appreciation, light and joy. (or whatever calls to you!)

Water Molecules

Note from Aubrey:

How often do we gulp water without the recognition of the nourishment that it gives us? Dr. Emoto proved that the intention we hold while looking at water changes the molecular structure.

Today with every glass of water you drink; first start with holding the water. If at all possible let the glass sit in the direct line of sun light for a couple of minutes, if not hold the water in between both hands. As you are holding it, breathe in deeply into the heart feel the chakra opening, breathe in even deeper into the pit of the stomach envisioning/feeling/requesting anything that is clinging/restrictive/toxic now become loose and release with the out breathe.

After you have intentionally breathed; call forward a word that feels true to your heart. What is it that I need to most hear and feel in this moment? Love, presence, peace, release, solitutde, support, care, empathy, relief, tenderness... what ever is the first word that comes through from your heart; focus on that word as you hold the water.

Repeat the word seven times while focusing on the water.

Drink with the intention of receiving this energy.

Can you apply this practice one time today? Several times? All day?

Vegetable Excitement

Note from Aubrey:

Try these practices to get more veggies in:

  • add 1 tablespoon olive oil or toasted sesame oil to every 2 cups of greens

  • add 2 bay leaves or 1 teaspoon cumin seeds to the water

  • sprinkle greens with toasted pumpkin, sesame, flax, or sunflower seeds, almonds, or walnuts

  • sprinkle greens with fresh herbs: mint, dill, basil, parsley, cilantro, scallions

  • use tamari soy sauce or umeboshi vinegar to add extra flavor

  • squeeze fresh lemon juice over them

  • add nutritional yeast for cheesy flavor thats vegan and packed with B vitamins

  • after steaming them, quickly stir-fry in olive oil, with a pinch of sea salt and garlic

Remember we are aiming for 5-13 servings daily to function at our highest abilities. This is will help us fight off inflammation, have better digestion, and increase energy levels.

Getting Clear from Sugar Addiction

Note from Aubrey:

Sugar addiction is real and it creates a perfect breeding ground for candida and a whole host of other physical symptoms.

  • If you are craving sweets; look at the energetic.  Sometimes our bodies crave sweets because we are aren't taking sweet enough care of our sacred selves. Where could you be sweeter to you? A bath, hike, time with a friend, tea, time to journal. Reach for the ways you can fill your cup over the sugar rush.

  • Reduce caffeine and carbonated beverages. The ups and downs of drinking caffeine can include dehydration and blood sugar swings, and may cause sugar cravings to become more frequent.

  • Drink water. Sometimes sweet cravings are a sign of dehydration. Grab a glass of water before you reach for any sweet.

  • Use gentle sweets. Avoid artificial sweeteners; they are packed with chemicals. Use natural sweeteners like maple syrup, stevia, and honey.

  • Get  active. Start simple with stretching, walking, or yoga. Start with 10 minutes a day and gradually increase. Moving your body helps balance blood sugar levels, boosts energy, and reduces tension which will eliminate the desire to self-medicate with sugar!

  • Get more sleep, rest and relaxation. If you are in a chronic state of stress and sleep deprivation, your body will crave the quickest form of energy there is: sugar. Which also means you will have a blood sugar crash and then end up even more exhausted. Stay clear.

Releasing Your Deepest Fears

Note from Aubrey:

"You are a child of God (Spirit, Creator, Universe). Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to manifest the glory of God  (Spirit, Creator, Universe) that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Excerpted from A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of a Course in Miracles,

by Marianne Williamson.

How can you apply this knowing today? Where are you willing to cultivate and nurture your own healing with the acknowledgement that you are doing so for others? You are needed. We are so grateful for the fearlessness in healing.

Ground Energetics of Food

Note from Aubrey:

The reality is that we are a go. go. go.  society. But can we choose differently? Could we choose to ground in and relax. To prioritize our time not because of needing 'to get things done' but from a place of recogonizing our sacred selves?

There are many ways we can ground ourselves. We can go to water. We can take our shoes off and walk barefoot in the grass. We can sit next to a tree. We can hold a piece of jasper. We can drink tea made of roots (turmeric, marshmallow, licorice). We can also turn to food.

Food possesses energy. Energy can be cultivate to help us achieve different states. To help relax and ground into our bodies:

  • root vegetables ( beets, carrots, parsnips, turnips, potatoes, sweet potatoes)

  • mushrooms (earth element)

  • beef

  • beans

  • slow cooked meals

Cultivating the Natural World

Note from Aubrey:

The science behind greening up your space or going out into the natural world is well documented. Plants help us feel better. They are sentient beings who pick up and contribute to our emotional and physical well being.

Did you know that you can change how a plant grows depending on how you speak to it? The same way that we can change our own cellular structures by the thoughts we think, we can change the growth of and wellness of a plant.

Start small. If you do not have a  green thumb. Grab a succulent. Place it as near light as you can get and barely water it every 3-4 weeks;just enough to dampen the soil.

Speak your gratitude for the plant giving you oxygen, aiding in you releasing serotonin, all the ways it contributes to your uplifted mood and connection to the natural world.

Watch yourself grow as you grow your connection to the natural world.
